Dr. Wang Yunlong

Profile

Yunlong Wang is a Senior Scientist and Group Manager at ASTAR’s Institute of Advanced Intelligence and Computing (ASTAR IAIC). His current research focuses on Online Trust & Safety and AI Evaluation. Prior to joining A*STAR, he was a Research Fellow at the NUS Ubicomp Lab and the Institute for Health Innovation & Technology (iHealthTech). He earned his Ph.D. from the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Group at the University of Konstanz, Germany.

Over the past decade, his research has spanned Human-Computer Interaction, Human-AI Interaction, Explainable AI, Health Behavior Change, and Online Trust & Safety. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications in leading international journals and conferences, with his work focusing on the design, evaluation, and deployment of AI-driven systems for social good. His research contributions have advanced the understanding of how AI technologies can support human decision-making, promote healthier behaviors, enhance transparency and trust in AI systems, and address emerging challenges in online safety and digital platforms. His work has been published in top-tier venues across HCI, AI, and social computing, and has been recognized through collaborations with academia, industry, and government stakeholders.
